BurtonJ, Mitarbeter von Valve, hat im offiziellen Steam-Forum der Weltöffentlichkeit mitgeteilt, dass Valve fortan Bewerbungen von Hobby-Spielern für 1-stündige Playtests entgegennimmt. Dabei sollen sowohl bereits veröffentlichte als auch noch unfertige Produkte unter die Lupe genommen werden. Da Valve seit einiger Zeit auch im Hardware-Sektor mitmischt, werden auch neue Prototypen am lebenden Exemplar ausprobiert. Seien es nun Virtual Reality Brillen, neue Eingabegeräte oder Valves Big Screen.

"We're looking for folks to come to Valve and playtest both released and unreleased versions of our games as well as play around with some of our hardware prototypes. If you have interest in stopping by (most sessions last around an hour), please fill out the survey below. We're looking for people local to the Seattle/Bellevue area, but you're welcome to fill out the survey no matter where you live as we may have plans for remote playtests in the future.

Leider hat die Sacher aber einen Haken. Aktuell werden nur Bewerber aus der Gegend um Bellevue/Seattle genommen. BurtonJ versprach aber, dass man in Zukunft auch internationale Tester zulassen würde. Wer möchte, kann also diesen Fragebogen ausfüllen, um vielleicht irgendwann einer der ersten zu sein, der Valves neuesten Geistesblitz testen darf.
